How to Find a Trial Chamber in Minecraft
Trial chambers are the copper-and-tuff dungeons added in 1.21. They hide in the deepslate layer, they are surprisingly common, and they hold the trial spawners and vaults that drop maces, wind charges, and ominous loot. Here is the fastest way to land in one.
Where they generate
Chambers spawn deep underground, roughly between Y -40 and Y 0, sitting in the deepslate. They appear in most overworld biomes and are fairly common, often closer than the nearest village. They never touch the surface, so you will not see them while walking around.

What is inside
Ominous vs normal trials
Drink an ominous bottle (or carry Bad Omen in) before you start, and the spawners turn ominous: harder waves, but they drop ominous trial keys that open the ominous vaults. Those are the only place the mace's heavy core and the best mace enchants come from. Do a normal clear first to learn the layout, then come back ominous.
Bedrock vs Java
The structure, depth, loot and mechanics are the same on both editions in 1.21. The only catch: /locate needs cheats on, which is per-world on Bedrock and via LAN or op on Java.
Quick answers
How rare are they?
Common. Most worlds have one within a few hundred blocks of spawn, all underground.
Can I reset a vault for more loot?
No. Each vault gives one reward per player, ever. Bring friends to share the keys.
Do I need an ominous trial for the mace?
You need an ominous vault for the heavy core, and ominous vaults only open during an ominous trial.
Will the spawners get harder with more players?
Yes. Trial spawners scale the wave size to how many players are nearby.
